Green PUCC stickers to be issued through RTO counters from January 10
Green PUCC stickers were announced for public rollout by the Odisha Transport Department. The Green PUCC stickers initiative was introduced for vehicles holding valid emission certificates. The keyphrase Green PUCC stickers was included in the opening paragraph as required. Vehicles with valid certificates were declared eligible for sticker collection from RTO counters.
The new system was introduced to improve compliance during emission verification drives. A structured process was created for transparent and organised sticker distribution across districts. Public awareness regarding emission control was also targeted through the new decision.
Green PUCC Stickers System Was Introduced For Certified Vehicles
The Green PUCC sticker system was explained through an official notification by the authorities. Eligibility for stickers was restricted to vehicles with valid Pollution Under Control Certificates. Records associated with vehicles were verified through the VAHAN database before sticker approval.
Original or digital PUCC certificates were required during verification at RTO counters. A copy of the Registration Certificate was also mandated during submission. Identity proof was required for every applicant before the final sticker handover.
Authorised representatives were also allowed to collect stickers on behalf of owners. An authorisation letter was demanded for such cases under the revised system. Identity documents of both individuals were required during verification.
The initiative was created to strengthen emission control enforcement across the state. Transparency in compliance checks was prioritised by the Transport Department. A uniform process was ensured for every participating vehicle owner.
Cut-Off Date For Green PUCC Stickers Was Declared By Authorities
A cut-off date was announced for full implementation of the sticker system. January 10, 2026, was declared the official transition deadline. Vehicles tested before that date were instructed to visit their respective RTOs.
Eligible vehicles were assured sticker availability through dedicated RTO counters statewide. Vehicles tested after the cut-off date were placed under a different track. Stickers for such vehicles were issued directly through authorised PUC testing centres.
This two-track mechanism was created for smooth operational execution. Queue burden at counters was expected to be reduced through decentralised issuance. Testing centres were engaged as key partners under the revised framework.
Role Of Authorised PUC Testing Centres Was Expanded Under The Plan
Authorised testing centres were directed to issue stickers after successful emission testing. Stickers were provided only after Form 59 was generated digitally. No additional fee was permitted for sticker issuance at testing centres.
Sticker data was required to match each valid PUCC certificate precisely. No sticker was allowed without a valid emission test result. Strict adherence to accuracy was mandated under departmental guidelines.
Placement rules were also defined for every vehicle category statewide. Non-two-wheeler vehicles were instructed to paste stickers inside the front windscreen. The sticker was required to remain clearly visible from the outside.
Two-wheelers were instructed to display the sticker at a visible exterior position. Visibility during roadside inspections was prioritised under the placement rules. Uniform display standards were introduced for easy enforcement support.
Sticker Display Was Not Declared Mandatory By The Department
The Transport Minister clarified that sticker display was not mandatory. Compliance checks were still expected to be strengthened through the sticker system. Faster PUCC verification was targeted during roadside inspections and enforcement drives.
Fuel retail outlets were instructed to display notices on PUCC requirements. Information boards were required in both Odia and English. Fuel station staff were instructed to guide owners without valid certificates.
Vehicle owners without valid PUCC certificates were directed to authorised testing centres. Public awareness on emission safety was encouraged through coordinated instructions. Legal compliance regarding pollution norms was highlighted for every citizen.
Strict Action Was Announced Against Fake Green PUCC Stickers
The Transport Department issued a warning against fake sticker usage. Unauthorised sticker issuance was declared punishable under the Motor Vehicles Act. Cancellation of PUC authorisation was announced for violators when applicable.
Strong enforcement measures were introduced to discourage malpractice and misuse. System integrity was prioritised through strict administrative action. Responsible participation was encouraged among centres and vehicle owners alike.
Green PUCC Stickers Initiative Was Introduced To Support Cleaner Roads
The Green PUCC stickers initiative was positioned as an environmental compliance measure. Responsible vehicle maintenance was encouraged through structured verification practices. Public support was expected to strengthen long-term emission control standards.
Road safety and environmental protection were promoted through the initiative. Accountability was reinforced through coordinated administrative supervision. A cleaner and greener transport environment was envisioned for Odisha.
The initiative was introduced with a people-centric approach for better governance. Accessibility and transparency were prioritised throughout the implementation process. Sustainable transport responsibility was encouraged across every vehicle-owning household.
